[727] BIOGRAPHY: TFG-127-John Denison attended medical school in Pittsfield, MA, graduating in 1839. He came to Mehoopany, PA, in 1841 and practiced medicine for 13 years. He established the largest drug store in the County and ran it for many years. He was noted for his generosity to the poor. His brother Frederick C. Denison, MD, also practiced in Mehoopany. Their father was an MD in Montrose. See History of Luzurne and Wyoming County, 1880, p.517-518.
