BIOGRAPHY: TFG-185-George Henry, after his mother's death, was raised by a family named Bevins and was known by that name until he became of age. In 1905 he migrated to Custer, WA, and settled on a stump farm near that of his brother William Carloss. It was difficult to dig out the giant fir stumps while earning wages by working the saw mills and logging camps. In 1917 he moved to nearby Ferndale, WA, where he worked for the Carnation Milk Co.
1880 US Census lists Geo. Fassett age 6 living with Edwin and Julia Bevins and their daughter, Francis P., age 12. They lived in York Township, Carroll Co., IL on 9 June 1880.
1900 US Census lists Edwin and Julia Bevins and Solon, Edwin's brother, living in Eden Township, Decatur Co, IA on 27 June 1900.
