[308] BIOGRAPHY: TFG-84-Benjamin soon after his marriage removed to Canterbury and Pomfret, CT. The Church records show that Benjamin was one of the signers of the organization of the Second Church in Pomfret (now Brooklyn, CT) on Nov 21, 1734. He held on share as proprietor under the patent of 1710. John, Josiah, Benjamin and Elizabeth were Separates in 1742. In 1748 Benjamin and John appear as petitioners to form a town out of the Mortlake Society. The town of Brooklyn was formed in 1786. see Larneds History of Windham Co. CT, for further records.

BIOGRAPHY: TFG-119-Jasper, Jr. and Sophia celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary together. He spent his entire life on the old homestead, a part of the which was the original purchase by Josiah Fassett(3). Sophia, called Dell, Grandfather was Job Whitcomb, who with his 4 sons, Hiram, Joel, John, and Solomon first came and settled Hemlock Bottom, later known as Scottsville, Braintree Township, Wyoming County, PA. John Whitcomb built the first frame house in 1811 from logs cut from his farm, rafted to the nearest mill at Wilkes-Barre, PA, then poled back up the Susquehanna River. Ansel Gay was a lineal descendant of Col. Ebenezer and Elizabeth Fairbanks of Dedham, MA.

TFG-285 Louis was a glass blower in Pittsburgh, PA. He later attended business school and was in the hardware business. In 1908 he moved his family to Williamsport, PA where he entered the radio business. He was a fine businessman.
Louis and Mary Barbara (called Maizie) both enjoyed good music and sang in music groups.
