[7643] BIOGRAPHY: From Obit - Mr. Fassett was born in Athens Township Nov. 27, 1924 the son of Alvah and Ella Kellogg Fassett. He lived in the Valley area his entire life. He was a graduate of Athens High School, class of 1942. He then entered the Army Air Corps and served in the Corps until 1945. After his discharge, he worked at the Athens Post Office for nine years. He then went to work for the Ingersoll-Rand, Athens, for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Athens Wesleyan Church and a member of the American Legion Post No. 246, Athens.
