BIOGRAPHY: TFG-88 - Noah and Elizabeth Adams migrated to the PA Wyoming Valley (Wilkes-Barre, PA)/ OT was a difficult time for them as both CT and PA claimed the area and the Indians and Tories were hostile. Noah was a Tax Collector there. At the time of the Wyoming Massacre they sought shelter in the Fort (Forty Fort). Luckily they escaped. Noah carrying son, Jesse, age three and Elizabeth carrying baby Jerusha along with Amos who was not yet five, walked 150 miles to Fishkill, NY. They lived on roots and berries on the way. They finally reached their former home in Brooklyn, CT. They later migrated to VT. The late Mary Adams Coffey, Mt. Pleasant, MI, owned a Bible that Elizabeth Fassett Adams inscribed to her grandson Joab Adams on her 69th birthday.
