[8622] BIOGRAPHY: TFG-209-Owen and Mary emigrated from Cloontuskirt, Co., Longford, Ireland about 1835. On the trip over in a sailing vessel, they were becalmed for many days. Owen Dorsey was killed while working on the digging of the Vosburg Tunnel of the Leheigh Valley RR. He was a dynamiter. She was left with four small children. She gave the girls away but kept the boys, Owen, Jr. and Michael. Katherine was raised by a childless couple, Judge and Mrs. Armstrong, North Eaton, PA. Sarah also was raised by another family.
