BIOGRAPHY: TFG-65-Benjamin Wilson attended school in Bergen, Genesee Co., NY. He took part in the campaign in 1837 when he had a plan to annex Canada. He served under General Scott as a member of the Heavy Artillery Co. at Black Rock. In 1843 he was given for his services, 150 acres of land at Brighton, NY. He helped organize the first Town Council in Brighton. He was in the nursery business in Brighton. He was one of Rochester's well known men.
