BIOGRAPHY: TFG-16,17-From "Stories on Stone" by Charles L. Wallace, pp. 112-113
"in the old graveyard near the Unitarian Church, Barnstable, Mass. are the stones to a doctor and his wife.
The inscription on the stone to Emily Fossett, d. 1885, aged 72 reads:
Here lies my body
Mouldering to clay
But the spirit has
Flown to the realms of day
Where all can dwell in peace and love
In the beautiful city
The fair courts above.
I conversed with the spirits of the dead for
forty years as with the living."
